The film spans two decades, beginning when ten-year-old Prince Adam crash-lands on Earth, becoming separated from the magical Power Sword of Grayskull. He grows up living a mundane life as Adam Glenn. Years later, Adam tracks down the mythical sword and is whisked back across the universe to his home planet, Eternia. He discovers his homeworld is in ruins and under the tyrannical rule of the warlord and sorcerer, Skeletor. Adam must embrace his destiny as He-Man—the most powerful man in the universe—and unite his allies to defeat Skeletor and save his family.
